We went to the beach to celebrate Easter with Keith, Bethany and their kids. This was Blair's first trip to the beach and I didn't even get a picture of her in the ocean. She was only on the beach long enough to dip her feet in the water and take a family picture because the big kids went while she was napping. She turned 9 months old on Sunday. Hopefully, we will be able to get in for a well check soon and I will post her official stats.

Easter and LBG's 9 Month
Friday, April 15, 2011
A little busy these days.
House #6 in 6 years. I will post more pictures soon. My sanity these days comes from Philippians 4 : 6&7. "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God: and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
LBG is learning to cruise by holding onto boxes.

BBG started preschool this week. She has been begging to go for months now and a spot opened up at the only (acceptable) school in town right before we moved. We decided to go ahead a let her start now so that she can meet some new friends. "School is AWESOME!" -Emory, age 3

Eight Months

Holy Cow! I can't believe I haven't posted in a month. We've been a bit busy with moving so some things have gotten pushed down the list. However, I didn't want LBG's eight month birthday to go unnoticed.
This month Blair has decided that she wants to move. She is quite the crawler, she prefers one knee and one foot at the moment. She is pulling up to stand and just beginning to cruise. Rice cakes are by far her favorite food with bananas coming in a close second. She has 3 (almost 4) teeth and is becoming very verbal these days.
Blair has such a wonderful personality. She loves to play and laugh with Emory and cuddle with just about anyone. I can't wait to see what the next couple months bring!

7 Months
My sweet Little Baby Girl on her seven month birthday.
She was bending over to watch her big sister pitch a fit around the corner from where she was sitting. Yes, her feet are really that purple sometimes and no, they were not cold.
LBG-"Here Boomer, you missed a spot."
Boomer- "Thanks! Squished up, leftover banana is so much better than dog food."
LBG- "You're crazy! I think dog food is delicious!"
(Yes, she is constantly going after the dog food.)
At seven months Blair is crawling, trying to pull up on things and getting into everything. She loves to play with her big sister and read books. She is doing a pretty good job eating now that we figured out that she wants to feed herself real food, she won't let you come near her with a spoonful of pureed mush. She likes peas, carrots, squash and pears but she isn't quiet sure about bananas. She recently started sleeping with Yellow Molly and loves to spend time in the playroom. I love listening to her laugh and play with Emory.

The Princess and the Pea(s)
Eric took Emory to the Daddy / Daughter Princess Ball tonight. She was so excited! She wanted her hair to be curly and she wanted a big, pretty bow on her dress. Eric said she had a wonderful time dancing, meeting some of the princesses and going on a carriage ride. I think it was a dream come true.

Meal Plan Monday
In case you didn't know it already, Eric and I are big planners. We like to make out a menu for at least two weeks at a time. By doing so, we have really cut our grocery bill because it helps us use what we have and only buy what we need.
Here's our dinner menu for the next two weeks. We're actually going to have a couple of chilly days this week so I figured we should have a comfort food week. I included a few recipe links but you should keep in mind that we are really picky and very rarely follow a recipe exactly.
Monday - Crock Pot BBQ Chicken, Parmesan Green Beans, Rice
Tuesday - Ham, Tomato & Squash Gratin, Biscuits
Wednesday - Homemade Vegetable Soup, Cornbread
Thursday - Chicken and Tomato Tacos, Black Beans, Guacamole
Friday - Beef Roast, Green Beans, Carrots, Potatoes
Saturday - Eggplant Parmesan
Sunday - Steak, Grilled Veggies
Monday - Leftovers
Tuesday - Burgers and French Fries
Wednesday - Bacon & Parmesan Pasta w/ Roasted Tomatoes and Asparagus
Thursday - Enchiladas
Friday - Skillet Chicken, Parmesan Green Beans, Rice
Saturday - Spaghetti with Chicken Meatballs
Sunday - Meatloaf, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans
Now, I just need to make a grocery list...
