Emory likes to sit in this box when she wakes up. She somehow moves from the bed to the box without making a sound and then yells "STUCK" over and over until you go get her. This is also the child that loves to yell "HELP" at everyone you pass while you are trying to grocery shop. Maybe I should tell her about the boy who cried wolf.

Recent Photos
It seems like we've been really busy lately, however, I'm not really sure what has made us busy. That's not exactly true ... I've been reading the Twilight series. Here are a few pictures of what our real life has been lately.
We went to the mountains with some friends to celebrate (ie forget about) our birthdays. The first picture is of a Southern Arizona forest. Yes, those are thousands of saguaro cacti.
Where's Emory?
These kids need to be caged sometimes.
Such a big girl with her braids.
One of the many dresses of the day.

Happy Memorial Day!
Emory was just pitiful the first part of last week. She was running a high fever and had absolutely no energy or appetite. Then, the coughing started. This was Emory's second bout of bronchitis this calendar year.
We left the appointment with some new equipment. We are now doing breathing treatments on an as needed basis. That means, multiple times a day for the rest of the week and then whenever she seems wheezy after that. Trying to get a one year old to sit still for fifteen minutes is not easy. Needless to say we have watched a lot of The Backyardigans and Sesame Street. The treatments really work though, her cough is all but gone.

Quick post
I just wanted to document the fact that Emory went off the diving board on Saturday. I can't believe that I forgot my camera, I promise we will have swim pictures soon. It was the first time she got to use arm floaties at the pool because our regular pool doesn't allow inflatables. We went to a friend's home pool and she loved it. No fear what so ever. I'm very excited because she has swim lessons in a couple weeks.
However, she woke up feeling bad on Sunday. She's been running a fever and acting pretty pitiful the past couple of days. Oh well, I guess that's life with a one year old.

All girl.
“In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different.”- Coco Chanel
Emory is (and has been for a while now) very particular about what she wears. She has a very distinct sense of style that often includes wearing desses (aka dresses). Here are today's fashion choices.

Look #2 consists of her pj's, one of my old work shirts and her bags. She is going to be very expensive as she gets older. Her favorite things are clothes, shoes and bags.
Look #3 is her new favorite "dess". Yes, that is my 20 year old Camp Lookout t-shirt. She is showing off her best dance move in this picture. She "ear to ear" dances like the orphans do in "You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile" in the movie Annie.
Look #4 is my favorite. The Camp Lookout t-shirt with a pink tutu. Enough said.
Look #5 will be the final outfit before bed. Tonight's pj's, the tutu and a bow. We have been dancing to Mama Mia and Sesame Street (Eric went to a baseball game.)
I think Coco would be proud. :)
