All girl.

“In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different.”- Coco Chanel

Emory is (and has been for a while now) very particular about what she wears. She has a very distinct sense of style that often includes wearing desses (aka dresses). Here are today's fashion choices.

Look #1 consists of the pj's she wore to bed and a black t-shirt around her waist. This is how I found her this morning when she woke up. The only problem we have with the big bed is that she climbs out and empties her chest of drawers while trying to find the perfect outfit. I guess the good thing is that she is learning to dress herself.

Look #2 consists of her pj's, one of my old work shirts and her bags. She is going to be very expensive as she gets older. Her favorite things are clothes, shoes and bags.

Look #3 is her new favorite "dess". Yes, that is my 20 year old Camp Lookout t-shirt. She is showing off her best dance move in this picture. She "ear to ear" dances like the orphans do in "You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile" in the movie Annie.

Look #4 is my favorite. The Camp Lookout t-shirt with a pink tutu. Enough said.

Look #5 will be the final outfit before bed. Tonight's pj's, the tutu and a bow. We have been dancing to Mama Mia and Sesame Street (Eric went to a baseball game.)
I think Coco would be proud. :)

It's Blue.

Here are the before and after photos of the front door. I'm sick of EVERYTHING being beige, so I picked "smoke blue" and all I can say is "It's blue."

My favorite things

Emory's current favorite things:

#1 is Pablo - without a doubt. Emory loves the Backyardigans, however, that is a big word for a little girl. She calls the show Pablo. A few weeks ago we were at church and Grammy kept Emory in the nursery so that Eric and I could actually enjoy the service. (I'm afraid to let Emory stay without an adult that can be totally devoted to watching her because of all her allergies.) Emory had a blast because the church had a Pablo doll. She pitched a fit when it was time to leave and cried for Pablo the entire way home. Long story short, they no longer make the same doll but I was able to find it on Ebay. Pablo came all the way from London to play with Emory. He even has a British accent! Pablo and Emory like to sing, dance and play dress up. Thank you Grammy!

Emory also love to help out around the house. Here you can see her "helping" me vacuum.
Lastly, Emory loves to play in water. We went to play in the fountains at a local shopping center the other day. She had a blast! Again, she pitched a fit when it was time to go.

Happy Easter!

We hope you all have a wonderful Easter! Here are some highlights of our morning. This is Emory showing off her pretty new dress.

Hunting eggs after church.

Checking out her goodies from the Easter Bunny.

Emory was excited about her new shoes and was happy to get ready for church this morning.

The first of many before and after pictures.

Emory's room's were the first to be completed (of course). I'm still looking for a few accessories to put on the walls but I'm pretty much finished with her bedroom and playroom. You can tell from the pictures why I've been MIA lately. We have to give TONS of credit to Grammy for helping with Emory's room. I know the layout is crazy, we got a new computer and I haven't quite figured it out yet.
