3 Weeks

Blair is 3 weeks old now. As of Thursday, she is 9 pounds 3 ounces and 22 inches long. She is definitely growing. She is following in her big sister's footsteps in many ways (eating, sleeping, unusually active). This afternoon she rolled over from stomach to back. Unlike Emory, however, it didn't phase her one bit. Emory hated "tummy time" so much that she found a way out of it, Blair just wiggled her way over.
In other news, we are planning Emory's Pink Flamingo 3rd Birthday. I'll post pictures after the party on Saturday.

She's Here!

Blair Elizabeth (aka LBG) arrived Saturday the 24th at 8:51am. She weighed 8 lbs 15oz at birth and is 21 inches long. We are all home and doing very well.

37 Weeks

So here I am at 37 weeks. I'm still feeling pretty good for the most part. This little girl is starting to hit some nerves in my hips and that is quite uncomfortable especially toward the end of the day. My doctors are very laid back (so far anyway) which suits me just fine. The practice doesn't check for dilation until at least 38 weeks unless there is cause for concern. I'm trying to decide if I even want to know because it doesn't really mean anything. With BBG it was so disappointing to hear that nothing was happening week after week. I'm having a little bit easier time letting go and just waiting for her to be ready this time around. The doctor said he estimates that she will be about the same size as her big sister so no worries there. We still don't have a name picked out from our ever evolving list. The only consistent opinion of the last couple weeks has been Baby Princess Presto.

LBG's Nursery - Part 3

LBG's room is starting to come together. We just have a few minor details left. One of the biggest issues is that our crib was recalled. We new that it was bound to happen because it is an evil drop side style, which I love and need because I'm short. We had already been discussing ways to fix it ourselves, however, we are now just waiting on the free repair kit that the manufacturer has developed. This should arrive just in time for LBG to grace us with her presence.

The only other things we need now are a mobile and a name. I have an idea for the wall above the crib but I need to know what we are going to name this little girl before I can do it.

Emory had a blast making the beautiful work of art that is on the shelf.
